| 摘要 | To develop an improved methodology for capacity and level –of-service analysis of freeways, data on the traffic movement on Sun Yat-Sen National Freeway are being collected and analyzed. Design and traffic parameters that should be considered in establishing representative speed-flow relationships. Another objective is to find a logical way to establish level-of-service criteria. The data collection has not been completed yet. Nevertheless, the flow characteristics observed on two level sections suggest that a new approach is needed to define representative speed flow relationships and to classify levels of service. The observed flow characteristics and their implications on the development of the needed methodology are discussed first. A set of level-of-service criteria is then established. |
