Railway system under planning often passes through natural resources such as woods, rivers, or other cultural and scenic areas so it is very important to take these areas into considerations, in additional to purely engineering and technological considerations. Based on these considerations, Ecological Engineering Method is an effective approach to deal with these issues. Railway systems have been the mainstream of traditional land transportation and they require more dedicated sources such as exclusive roadways and hardware. Hence it is a bigger challenge to apply Ecological Engineering Method for railway system construction. This research plans to study domestic and international related cases, collect and analyze data, develop a research structure to evaluate the feasibility and potential of the application of Ecological Engineering Method in railway systems and relative engineering and political strategies for future applications. |
