Summary	Wei-Yuan Ro, 2008.06 Graduate Institute of Transportation Science, Tamkang University 　　Taipei EasyCard (Smart IC Card) brings the Taipei bus fare collection system into a new era, it reduces the transaction process and integrate the bus and Mass Rapid Transit in Taipei metropolitan. Most of the present researches focus on the technology and the potential applications of smart card, few of them discuss the characteristics of transaction data. The objective of this study is to use the transaction data of smart card to produce the O-D table efficiently. 　　The method of this study uses two transaction characters of EasyCard’s to produce the O-D table of bus line. One is the relationship between all transactions data within a single bus shift, the other is the every single card’s transaction data within a period (e.g. two weeks). The method developed in this study can produce the O-D table which include more than 2500 O-D pairs of regular passengers at the peak hors in one route, and the error of estimation under 3 stops.
