Title A study on the impact factors of motorcycle rider's red-light running behavior in Taiwan

  To understand the relationship between motorcycle rider's intention to traffic violation behavior, this study designs different scenarios for populace, and applies the Rasch Model to disclose the information behind the original ordinal scores. For the estimates of all scenarios are mapped into an interval scale measures from the original ordinal scores, these values can be compared scientifically. An empirical study was hold by examining the original scores rated via 10 items on the 441 samples. It is showed that “No body around me in the night” and “When I am in a hurry” and “Through a short crossroad” are the three items with the highest difficulties. For the Rasch model can provide a scientific assessing approach which unveils the information of these ten situation behind the original ordinal rating scores, Comparing person's ability and item's difficulties, that is suggested as a reliable approach to catch some information to prevent traffic violation behavior.
