The vehicle dispatching the Military adopts manual method, which is time-consuming, labor-consuming, and inefficient. Since the Military is downsizing, an automatic vehicle dispatching system could be beneficial.
This paper analyzes the limitation factors on the vehicle dispatching (including the features of the unit, vehicle features, years of usage and maintenance of the vehicle, driving skills, vacation control, and familiarity with the road), in order to design a computerized system for the Military based on the expected performance. Then the system is applied on one unit for verification, analysis, and discussion for further modification. This study intends to improve the transport management in the Military. |
