| Summary | It is an important and essential task to obtain daily trips of people during the transportation planning processes. The traditional survey of obtaining these data consumes many sources and can only be conducted over a small sampling size. We proposed a mechanism to derive the origin and destination points using the mobile phone data. The mobile phone data are available from local telecom carrier and cover a much larger portion of people. We also hire people to record their 14 days’ travel diary served as the training and validation data set. These collected data were used to calibrate the parameters of the proposed mechanism. According to the testing results of validation data, it shows that the proposed method could obtain the origin and destination points with an acceptable accuracy |
