| Summary | To cope with the plan for the development of an Asia-Pacific Sea Transportation Center, Taiwan is working actively to strengthen the software and hardware infrastructures of international harbors to create a favorable environment for the overall development of economic activity and to enhance its international competitiveness. By way of the strategic planning theory, this study attempts to find out the important issues pertaining to the success of the Center. All the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for the Kaoshiung, Keelung, and Taichung International Harbors are investigated and improvement alternatives are proposed for the use to raise their competition power. |
