| Summary | The achievements of this current project are as follows: (1) The related research topics and information of driving simulator on broad had been collected. The domestic need of research in different areas had been thoroughly evaluated. (2) Some proposed virtual environments of the Northern Taiwan Second Freeway (No. 3 Freeway), some vehicles and simple traffic flow pattern had been added into this prototype system which will be combined with the data bank to increase the virtual environments as the proposed plan. (3) The vehicle dynamics simulation, the derived mathematics and the analysis in straight line and curve driving had been finished, and was verified with the research works on broad too. (4) The interactive test of the virtual reality software with the reaction signals of steering wheel, acceleration paddle, brake paddle and transmission shift had been performed. (5) The system integration test of the driving simulator prototype was performed. |
