       The "UAV Integrated Pilot Program” aims to provide real-world technical testing and verification for UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) companies in the transportation domains under the Ministry of Transportation. This project investigates the application of UAV technology in the "Deepening Logistics Delivery" of Chunghwa Post and invites UAV manufacturers to conduct proof-of-concept (PoC) and service model testing in the trial area. The purpose is to understand the current state of UAV technology development and to evaluate the feasibility and application value of UAV technology in the business operations of the Ministry of Transportation's agencies and organizations.

       This year, the IPP theme is defined to support mail delivery service as usual during rural road (bridge) incidents. The test site is located in Fuxing District, Taoyuan City. The test route is selected from the old site of Jieshou Junior High School in Fuxing District, Taoyuan City (near Fuxing District Post Office) to Lala Mountain Scenic Area, with a total flight distance (round trip) of 44 kilometers and a flight time of approximately 60 minutes. The test site, with the characteristics of long distances, mountainous area and poor telecommunication signal, is more challenging than the previous test plan. Nevertheless, it attracted 21 groups to sign up for participation, of which 13 groups passed the preliminary review and 4 groups entered into the final verification phase. On November 18th, a field verification and launch ceremony were held at the old Jieshou Junior High School site, with three companies successfully completing the verification. On December 12th, a results presentation and award ceremony were held at the Chiayi UAV AI Park. At the same time, the project used the test verification results to help draft specifications for subsequent outsourced bidding, providing practical units with reference for application.
