Year 2023
Month 3

Summary

Advanced, various instruments can develop various currents, high-frequency and water meters with different wavelengths, and so on. Each instrument has its own advantages and disadvantages, and its measurement data, according to the characteristics of the instrument, depends on its characteristics and demand. In the application of microwave ranging technology, the azimuth and azimuth calibration points are used as the data for the radar instrument's bottom anchor wave current and floating pattern square. The maintenance work is basically carried out, which is convenient for the safety of the operators, and its application positions are also more extensive. In order to assist and improve the marine and meteorological observation operations in the Taipei Port area, this project will use the microwave radar stations that have been built in the Taipei Port area to collect microwave radar observation data and compare it with nearby Taipei Port stations for correlation. Analysis of characteristics and seasonal characteristics using wave and current observation data from stations near Taipei Port to verify microwave radar wave and current observation results discovered that the wave height measured by the radar has a clear trend, but when the wave height is larger, The radar can still not reflect the results. Only wave heights between 1 and 2 meters have good observation performance. Among the performances of peak period, current velocity, and current direction measurement, the correlation is relatively low. The results of this project can be provided to government agencies, consulting companies, and academic institutions as a reference for planning and research
