Summary Seamless transportation between various transportation modes has been a paramount goal for the development of public transportation to enhance the convenience of public transportation and to reduce the waiting time for passengers. Seamless transportation means users in a trip chain can integrate walking and all kinds of services provided by public transportation to accomplish the transportation goal of doorto-door services under the user’s acceptance of walking distance, ticket pricing, waiting time, and service levels, etc. Hence, this project aims to develop an auto-evaluation system of the railway and bus seamless transfer schedule based on the timetable of Taiwan Railways and Taiwan High Speed Rail as well as the frequency of public transportation systems in each bus station. Moreover, this project will investigate the impact of the frequency adjustment mechanism of railway transfer routes to improve delay issues in bus transfer time. Furthermore, according to the rescheduling of railway systems, this project has to devise the adjustment mechanism of normal bus systems to discover the gaps between railway and bus transfer systems to reduce the waiting time of passengers in a bus station, to enhance the ridership of public transportation, and to achieve energy saving and carbon reduction.
