Summary | The purpose of this annual (2016) plan is to expand upon the results of the prophase study, to establish the assessment mechanism and strengthen the risk assessment indicators. The achievements of this plan are as follows: (a) Adjust indices on risk assessment through interviews with primary management units, understanding data inventory, and introducing climate change risk map. By addingfactors such as mileage GPS, structure (such as tunnel, girder, cut&fill, grounds), life years, future output values, adaptive strategy, and flooding depth, the risk assessment matrix and the harm (flooding) index were adjusted. (b) Produce a new risk map with adjusted indicators and compare with historical disaster points: roads with 80% flooding and 76% or more slope hazards are defined at medium harm level; amongst the 200-year climate change projections of road hazards, 17.8% of provincial highways, 27.0% of expressways, 15.4% of railways, 4.6% of freeways and 2.1% high-speed rails have risks of flooding; 27.4% of provincial highways, 0.6% of expressways, 5.9% of railways, 3.0% of freeways and 3.9% of high speed rail have risks of slope hazards . (c) Enhance platform functionality by expanding the index weight, adding functions to revise index value settings, and updating information of the risk map. |
