| Summary | This report describes the nature and application of a time-advanced toll plaza simulation (TTPS) model. The TTPS model is based on FORTRAN77 programming language and is intended for PC applications. This model can be used to simulate the operations of toll plazas under a wide range of conditions. The data requirements of the TTPS model include toll collection methods, service time of toll gate, weigh station operations, reverse-lane operation, and traffic demand. The outputs of this model include departure flow rates, average queue length, maximum queue length, average stopped delay and level of service, and average speed over the entire length of toll plaza. This report provides detailed instructions to the preparation of input data files and illustrate the application of the model. |
