| Summary | Good service level is one of the key factors of attracting more public transit users. Using telecom signal data can help estimate the time-space trip movements of people. By comparing the time-space movements of people and carrier, we are able to obtain the trip origin-destination data and the associated mode choice. We develop models and algorithms to analyze the gap of public transit demands and supplies the candidate routes for possible future improvements. We implemented experiments in Kaohsiung and Hualian areas. The test results showed that our approach is sound and promising. |
