| Summary | Mucha Line will be the first commercialized Medium-Capacity Rapid Transit Line in Taiwan area. Before and after its commercial operation, this study conducts surveys of land use patterns, traffic characteristics, modal split and environmental noise in the surrounding areas along the route. The principle tasks cover data collections, surveys and analysis in many aspects, such as land use survey, screen line traffic survey, intersection turning traffic survey, passenger mode choice survey and environmental noise survey. Some significant results found in this study are highlighted, and these could be used to clarify the impacts of Mucha Line on traffic and land use patterns after the comparative study. |
