Summary        Taiwan Strait is a busy waterway due to its location. Maritime accidents, particularly ship collisions, have become a significant issue. To address this problem, the use of automatic identification system is employed for navigation management. However, AIS has limitations in accurately estimating the distance between vessels. To further prevent collisions, it is important to implement traffic separation schemes to regulate ship headings. This will help minimize the occurrence of accidents.
