| Summary | Published in April 2004 IOT SERIAL No. 93-50-788, 298pp. This project expands the geographic information system (GIS) installed in Center. The major tool of this establishing operation is MapInfo GIS. We added many elements in MapInfo’s database and used its program language, MapBasic, to write the new consulting modules. We have finished a great deal of work this year as listed below: (1) expansion and design of system structure, (2) establishment of consulting module of ocean data, (3) establishment of consulting module of numerical simulation data, (4) establishment of consulting module of corrosion data of steel piles, (5) establishment of consulting module of container load and unloading data of wharves, (6) expansion and application of liquefaction modules, (7) database establishment of harbor engineering costs, (8) establishment of consulting module of seismic magnitude and groundwater data at Taichung Harbor, (9) system data renewing, (10) establishment of GIS homepage on the Internet. The project of next year will continue to expand the contents and try to establish a better system. |
