In order to understand the supply and demand situation of the international transport logistics industry, this study has developed a comprehensive framework for manpower supply and demand analysis for the international transport logistics industry. To do this, an employer survey, the manpower requirements approach (MRA) method and references to the Ministry of Education statistics were all used. The estimation results show the manpower supply and demand will tend to balance out from 2012 to 2014. The study uses the important-performance analysis (IPA) method to understand the level of difference between the importance and satisfaction of selected aspects from the business managers’ perspectives.

Finally, the study will look to the future, following the path of regional economic growth and responding to international and cross-strait situation changes. The acquisition and integration of global resources has been recognized as the key to ensure the success of multinational enterprises. Therefore, improving performance and strengthening the competitiveness of transportation logistics have become an important policy in recent years. This study further proposes knowledge management system architecture, a design that has defined the scope of information, sources, analysis, application functions, etc. and that can be an important supporting resource to help make quality decisions in the future.
