| Summary | Our economic development and progress have brought the trucking industry many new service demands. The existing pricing regulations on the trucking industry was set up in 1985 which is already out-of-date, and this situation has resulted in its negative effects on the development of our economy and international competitiveness from both government and industry. This study investigated the critical issues of the trucking industry (particularly the pricing regulations and the pricing practices of motor carriers) and gained insights to provide constructive suggestions on which the improvement of the existing pricing regulations could be based. |
