Summary        This project combines the relevant research and development technology accumulated by the Institute of Transportation in the past to develop a prototype architecture of a railway digital twin software platform that can integrate planning and actual train operations. Its goal is to be able to handle railway construction design funding review, policy research, and planning which are important tools for assessment. To this end, this project not only collects case literature on railway digital twin in advanced international countries, but also develops reference suggestions for China’s future railway digital twin blueprint planning, and further analyzes and proposes priority research and development projects such as platform architecture and operation interface, automatic In terms of conflict resolution, operation simulation, etc., by introducing the core technology of our supply and demand diagnostic model software, we completed the planning of the prototype architecture of the railway digital twin software platform.
In addition to continuing to deepen the International Union of Railways (UIC) schedule compression method, the technology development part develops station bottleneck analysis technology and station delay analysis technology. Also, it includes the elevated railway in Changhua City, infrastructure improvement of Jiji branch lines, high-speed rail Changhua Station, etc. The situational case analysis of cross-rail construction design verifies and demonstrates relevant functions, showing that the prototype architecture of the digital clone software platform has preliminary operational analysis capabilities. After the software platform is developed, it can be transferred to the Taiwan Railways Administration and the Taiwan Railways Bureau as an auxiliary tool for train simulation and evaluation of construction plan programs.
