| Summary | APTS is one of the major directions for the government toward the development of a nation-wide intelligent transportation system. With successful development of APTS, we can promote the use of transit system. The main purpose of this study is to help the transit operators develop the core modules of advanced fleet management and vehicle dispatching system so that the operations Õ efficiency and effectiveness could be improved via use of the positioning information of operating vehicles. We hope that each of the transit companies could easily develop its own fleet management and vehicle dispatching system through the use of and minor modification of the core modules. |
