| Summary | This study first reviewed the literature about the operations, fare, service quality and price discrimination issues of taxicab. In order to formulate a reasonable fare system of taxicab, this study had interviewed the staff of related authorities and the experts of this domain. Based on the questionnaire survey, this study applied the Stated Preference Method to analyze the price preference and elasticity of taxicab passengers. Finally, this study proposed a timetable for implementing the taxicab classification scheme and the revised taxicab fare structure. It is hoped that the results of this study could be a good reference for refining taxicab management policies in Taiwan. |
