| Summary | This is the second year of a four-year project. The development and promotion of ASV systems in Taiwan were suggested in the first-year project. The suggestions were based on the technology development, automobile industry characteristics, traffic environment, and accident characteristics. The second year project studies further regulations and standards related to vehicle safety, including ACC and HMI (JAMA, AAM, ESoP). The researchers of the project attended the 19th ESV conference in Washington, D.C., U.S.A. to investigate the ASV systems development trend and useful technologies. The first-year domestic ASV conference was held at IOT. The conclusions of the conference were offered to the Government for developing ASV systems. While the development of EDR is under study, the possibility of developing EDR with domestic industry is assessed, and the standard of domestic EDR is studied as well. |
