Summary | In order to comply with national energy conservation and carbon reduction policies, it is thus necessary to make more efforts in conducting studies on the promotion of alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs) usage. Through collecting and reviewing relevant strategies and methods utilized in other countries, we further propose the incentive programs of AFVs promotion that might be feasible in Taiwan.
Based on the results of “Planning of Transportation Sector Regarding Strategies and Implementation of Promoting Alternative Fuel Vehicles and Corresponding Measures” in 2011, this project drew up five strategic aspects including economic incentives, traffic management, transport service management, vehicle management, and infrastructure and auxiliary facilities, and accordingly, proposed some specific and supporting measures for promoting AFVs for the transportation sector. This project concluded with nineteen AFVs promoting measures, including eight economic incentives strategies, five traffic management strategies, two transport service management strategies, one vehicle management strategies, and three infrastructure and auxiliary facilities strategies. Furthermore, it integrated these strategies into two highlight projects to encourage the use of AFVs, and consequently, provides an important reference for the transportation sector to establish an AFVs-friendly environment. |
