| Summary | To convey the status and capacity of Taiwan’s transportation systems in 2007, this report aims to present and analyze the major construction projects, infrastructure status, general operations information, capacity, growth trend of demand, and level of service of various transportation systems, including railways, highways, maritime transportation, civil aviation, and urban transportation, respectively. Besides transportation system status, this report adds a new subsection to each chapter to provide the short-term prediction of passenger/freight transportation demand to increase users’ understanding and facilitate the comparisons of demand trends. For users' convenience, this report has been available online (at http://www.iot.gov.tw/) since 1998. |
