Summary	In response to an aging society, the design of the transportation environment should consider more than the needs of a normal adult. This is the origin of Universal Design (UD). The major purpose of this study is to review international laws, regulations, standards, literatures, researches, and projects that are associated with accessibility and universal design in transportation.   The results in this year include: (1) Investigated transportation facilities. (2) Collected the public transportation vehicles laws associated with accessibility. (3) Collected the applications of UD for the transportation environment. (4) Collected and analyzed the design's elements of UD in transportation. (5) UD case study. (6) Testing of the possibility of combining UD and emerging technology. These results can be followed up to promote UD applied in the transport environment.
