| Summary | Based on the experiences of the previous project, (Study on the Software and Hardware of Driving Simulator), this project implements the planning and design of a driving simulator with a six-axes dynamic base. The results of this current project are as follows: (1) The further research topics and information of driving simulator had been collected. The domestic need of research in different areas had been thoroughly evaluated. (2) Some proposed virtual environments of the driving simulator, some vehicles and simple traffic flow patterns had been added into this prototype system which will be combined with the data bank to increase the virtual environments, as is proposed by the plan. (3) The vehicle dynamics simulation, the derived mathematics and the analysis in rollover model had been finished, which was verified with other research works, too. (4) The interactive test of the virtual reality software with the reaction signals, i.e., steering wheel, acceleration paddle, brake paddle and transmission shift, had been performed. (5) The system integration test of the new driving simulator prototype was performed. (6) The design and analysis of the hydraulic driving simulator had been performed. |
