Summary | Published in February 2004 IOT SERIAL No. 93-37-4178, 168 pp. Following the suggestions made in the projects “The Trial Plan of Line-based Cost Measuring System for Domestic Shipping Industry”, this study constructs an off-line cost measuring system for domestic shipping industry, and once again explores the feasibility of formula and contents of the cost calculation modal suggested in the previous study. In addition, will be held two education seminars on software operation and data input to the cost calculation system. Shipper and harbor management officials will be invited to attend the seminars.. Besides, to train the future users, the seminars aim to explore if there are any features to be improved to further meet users’ expectation and the requirements set by related regulations. To facilitate the system’s application, some necessary regulation modifications are also discussed in this study. Before the system can be fully adopted in 2005, two additional operation training seminars are suggested to be held by the MOTC to attract future users’ attention. In the way, the outcomes of these seminars will become helpful in the future subsidy application. |
