| Summary | This project is the second of a 3-phase project entitled “The Establishment of a Manual on Uniform Guide Signs”. One of the main goals in this phase is to enhance and update the proposed manual from the first phase. This project also applied the outputs to demonstration roadways in central and southern Taiwan, to obtain correction feedbacks on the proposed manual and software tool. In order to enhance the efficiency and consistence of guide sign design, this project also developed a guide sign planning assistance software, based on digital road map database supported by IOT. The software will provide suggestions for guide sign planning and allocation, as well as providing standard guide sign graphics based on the proposed manual. This project also organized a workshop to establish initial awareness of the manual and software by participants from the engineering community, forming the basis for training courses and user feedback in the following phase. |
