| Summary | Mucha Line will be the first commercialized Medium-Capacity Rapid Transit Line in Taiwan area. Before and after its commercial operation, we conducted surveys of land use patterns, traffic characteristics, modal split and environmental noise in the surrounding areas along the route. The principle tasks included data collections, surveys and analysis in many aspects, such as land use surveys, screen line traffic surveys, intersection turning traffic surveys, passenger mode choice surveys, and environmental noise surveys. Some significant results found in this study are highlighted, and they could be used to clarify the impacts of Mucha Line on traffic and land use patterns after the comparative study. |
