| Summary | This project is conducted to survey and analyze trip generation rates for different land uses in non-urban areas in the northern Taiwan area. The areas include Taipei County, Yilan County, Taoyuan County, Hsinchu County and City. Moreover, the main content of the survey includes the 7 specific land uses of residential communities, industrial parks, recreation areas, relaxation farms, colleges (or universities), supermarkets and hotels. Based on different land uses, the survey is individually conducted to estimate daily trips, peak-hour trips, rates of choosing modes, peak-hour and daily trip distributions, vehicle occupancy for different modes, parking generation rates, and so on. The project is related to the “Geography Information System Database” from the project of “Extending the Geography Information System Database for Traffic Impact Assessment and Establishing its Application Measure”. On the other hand, the data of trip generation rates and parking generation rates from the project survey are inputted into the database. In addition, the analysis functions of the database are enhanced in the project. Finally, the project establishes the method for developing a sustainable database maintenance mechanism to improve the efficiency of the working or reviewing procedure of Traffic Impact Assessment (TIA) and finishes the survey and assessment user manual for applying the data of trip generation rates and parking generation rates. |
