Summary | This report compiles results and conducts post-project review for the 2014 Chinese New Year transportation management program. It continues using the review and assessment method adopted by the 2013 Chinese New Year transportation management program. The main contents of the report include plans of action, project implementation and work procedures, highway performance evaluation index analysis, performance evaluations, and recommendations for project improvements. The report illustrated the highway performance evaluation index analysis in Chapter 5. The implementation of differential rates reached the goal of balancing the traffic volumes of National Highway 1 and National Highway 3. However, the effectiveness of extending the free period to transfer daytime traffic was poor. In Chapter 6, 25 original indicators were reviewed, expanded, and adjusted to 32 indicators. The report proposes various improvement recommendations, such as reinforcing contingency measures, improving car park management at tourist attractions, and providing sufficient transportation capacity. |
