Summary | Different road users have different demands and behaviors, but because of limited resources, all users have to share the roadways. The interactions between different road users incur relevant risks and incidents, and increasing the safety and the efficiency on the roadways has become an important issue. In order to achieve these goals, special attention has been given to specific roadway user behaviors, such as speeding and aggressive driving, and to specific user groups, such as senior drivers, bikers, etc. This study plans to classify the user groups and determine their safety priorities. Relevant data will be collected and analyzed, from which the measure of risk assessment will be determined to evaluate users’ risks. Safety strategies will be developed to cope with users’ behaviors and the cost and benefits of strategies will be calculated for related authorities’ reference. |
