Summary | In order to improve the risk management mechanism of the project in its earlier stage (2015), this project takes the roadway system as an example, to carry out a field case analysis of climate change risk assessment hotspots, and revise the risk management mechanism for real life operational processes.
This project compromised a field survey of six hotspots in the roadway system risk assessment, including four landslide hotspots and two flooding hotspots , as well as interviews with public sector agencies and the general public to understand current situation and handling of current hotspots. The project also proposes to incorporate the review and revision of the risk management mechanism for actual operation processes into the road safety score table, and use these scores as references for different risk management measures. The project provide these scores to railway and roadway management agencies as references for their preliminary testing of hotspots. The project also completed the Operation Manual for the Climate Change Risk Assessment Mechanism for Transportation Systems to enable the relevant authorities to conduct surveys and preliminary assessments of actual situations and determine the follow up required. |
