Summary | This project focuses on the demand analysis and architecture planning research of the Business Decision Support System (DSS) of the Transportation Technology Research Center of the Transportation Research Institute of the Ministry of Transportation (hereinafter referred to as the Transportation Technology Center). The responsibilities of the Transportation Technology Center include transportation engineering, harbor engineering, disaster prevention and early warning technology, as well as the development and integration technology research of marine meteorological databases and information systems to solve related transportation and development challenges. The core goal of this project is to help the Operations Technology Center improve research business efficiency and provide business decision-making support through system requirements analysis and architecture planning. To achieve the above goals, this project first conducted an extensive analysis of relevant research literature to gain an indepth understanding of the development history, functional architecture and requirements collection methods of the decision support system, thereby understanding the actual decision support needs of users. We also discussed the application of DSS in different industries. For example, in the urban competitiveness competition among the six cities, the Kaohsiung City Government used DSS to dynamically query more than 300 indicators such as happiness, green energy, livability, and statistical reports to quickly understand citizens’ opinions on municipal implementation results. Satisfaction situation, etc., highlight the application results of DSS in multiple fields. In addition, the organization and responsibilities of the sports technology center were collected, and business needs inventory and interviews were conducted for each business department. Then, the needs of key decisionmakers were obtained through the needs analysis results. Finally, the obtained decision-making needs are analyzed in depth and suggestions for decision-making support system architecture planning are obtained. Research results and benefits: 1. Propose an architectural plan for the decision support system for reference in subsequent decision system construction. 2. Business needs inventory results, knowledge base structure, and decision support architecture can provide references for port research units. 3. Interviews were conducted with all the heads of this center, and the minutes of the interview meetings provide insights into the thought processes of the unit heads and their perspectives on the business decision support system, which can be referenced by the staff of subsequent units |
