Summary | This is the second year work of the three-year project which was conducted to restructure the curriculums and design the course content for driving education, and thereafter establish the data bank for the written examination of driver licensing. Six subjects concerning the basic knowledge of traffic regulations and safety were finished in the second year of this project. They are: (1) Driving Manners, (2) Human Factors Related to Driving Safety, (3) Traffic Regulations, (4) Defensive Driving, (5) First Kits for Traffic Accidents, and (6) Economic and Ecological driving. For each subject, a teacher’s handbook is prepared with supplementary materials for teaching, and some experimental items are also designed for the written examination of driver licensing. The report appendix contains the curriculums and designs completed by the study, which includes six subjects, supplementary materials, unit curriculum, written examinations, and evaluations. The completion of the study will help the examination writers or laymen to gain correct driving knowledge and techniques. For the driving class operators, it will help to increase the operation competitiveness, and the government related units can use the study to explore the reform direction and follow up focus on the domestic driver licensing curriculum contents, test and data bank for review and updates. The implement of the study result will help the drivers to develop a correct driving attitude and technique, and increase road safety and diver quality. |
