| Summary | This project is the third-year phase of the four-year project entitled “Promotion and Research on the Development of Advanced Safety Vehicles Systems”. The first-year project in Advanced Safety Vehicles (ASV) proposed some suggestions for the development and promotion of ASV systems in Taiwan, based on the technology development, automobile industry characteristics, traffic environment and accident characteristics. The second-year project analyzed the database of traffic accidents in Taiwan and further studied regulations and standards (ECE、FMVSS、ISO、SAE) related to vehicle safety. The researchers of the project attended the 19th ESV conference in Washing, DC, to study the trend of ASV systems development and communicate useful technologies. The domestic ASV conference was held at Institute of Transportation (IOT). The conclusions of the conference were offered to the government for developing ASV systems. This year project continually collected the information of ASV development and the standard of Human Machine Interface (HMI). And, the prototypes of Security and Monitor System and Event Data Recorder (EDR) were developed. In addition, some advices were proposed in this project based on the experience of developing HMI in USA. |
