For this project, The Road Safety Information Platform analyzed statistical data of road traffic accidents(Categories A1 and A2) in the Taiwan Area from 2021 to identify accident-prone locations and then sent a report to the contact windows/supervisory departments for road safety in every county and city, then compiled the accident-prone locations as they were reported back to the IOT by those counterparts based on their on-paper assessments and on-site investigations, which served as input for the improvement plan. The Project for the Improvement of Accident-Prone Locations improved 64 locations for a total expenditure of TWD 26,688,057, with an average improvement cost of each location being TWD 417,000. |
