Summary | "Safety" and "Efficiency" have always been important goals for all countries to promote Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), and the two influence each other. In terms of the development trend of ITS in the world in recent years, the Europe, the United States, and Japan have recognized that the Connected Vehicle formed by V2I of vehicles (V) and road infrastructure (I) and V2V of vehicles (V) and vehicles (V) can provide safer, smoother, more environmentally friendly and energy efficient transportation environment. This Study explores the application modes of Connected Vehicle in our Country's "Traffic Safety" and "Traffic Information Services", and conducts first Connected Vehicle field experiment in the experiment field constructed at Provincial Highway No. 62 of Keelung City and the Jijin 2nd Road / Jijin 3rd Road. In recent years, the international development of ITS has been moving towards the development of Connected Vehicle (CV) with Dedicated Short Range Communication (DSRC), and active development of Automated Vehicle (AV) based on Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) , and even further exploring the development of Connected Automated Vehicle (CAV) that combines Connected Vehicle and Automated Vehicle. |
