Summary This study will construct an information database of air transportation operations and infrastructure in Taiwan and the Asia-Pacific region to support air transport policy analysis and airport planning for the Ministry of Transportation and Communications and civil aviation authorities.

The objective of this study is to collect the operations as well as airport-related facilities information of the key international airports in the Asia-Pacific region and Taiwan. Data was gathered primarily from the Airports Council International (ACI) and the databases of other international organizations and relevant institutions. The data included relevant airside and landside facilities and the operating profile of each airport.

Simultaneously, we established a database to facilitate future queries and comparative analysis. The information database constructed by this study will give policy-makers more sufficient information on our competitive airports, including airside and landside facilities and operations performance. Furthermore, the database will also try to provide an airport operation benchmark. This benchmark can be used to compare productivity and efficiency, to evaluate specific processes, policies, and strategies, and to assess overall organizational performance. We hope the results of this study can provide sufficient.
