| Summary | This project uses the Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area as an integration demonstration area. Here we will integrated the necessary information and services (including transportation, travel, restaurant, lodge and shopping…etc.) through comprehensive planning and negotiation mechanism. Besides, this project will consider the coordination of low-carbon transportation services and smart transportation infrastructure to provide near real-time location-based traffic/tourism information services and good-quality public transportation services.
This research project includes six parts: (1) Strategic plan and execution plan for low carbon and smart tourism. (2) E-Ticket Package Service planning and implementation, system (platform & app) expansion, migration and sustainable operation research and planning. (3) Functional enhancement and in-site validation of CMS. (4) Effectiveness evaluation. (5) System and experience transfer planning. (6) Promotion plan and execution. The expected outcomes of this project are promotion and transfer of best practices in the Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area to other scenic areas, and to accelerate the mid-term goal of "low-carbon and smart tourism" environment. |
