| Summary | This report summarizes the third year work of the three-year(2004-2006) project for updating the traffic network data of the「Institute of Transportation Traffic Road Network Digital Atlas」to the scale of 1/5000 year by year. The updating work is continued, based on the latest traffic network information from every city/county governments. Meanwhile, the traffic network data of the northern area of Taiwan is upgraded to the scale of 1/5000 and the traffic network of Kinmen and Matzu area are also included in this year, which make the traffic network more comprehensive. To keep spatial relationships and attributes of the road network consistent in the long term, we have developed a new coding algorithm to ensure the node ID is unique in database. We have also developed a standardized procedure for data quality control to improve data quality as well as to reduce cost. |
