       This project is based on the basic traffic safety abilities for primary, junior, and senior high school students formulated by the Ministry of Transportation and Communications in 2020, as well as the needs assessment and planning for the introduction of new technologies in traffic safety education conducted by the Institute of Transportation, MOTC in 2022.Targeting pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists, and other road users, this project aims to develop interactive, game-based traffic safety education software with realistic scenarios applied for smart mobile devices, personal computers, and VR devices.
        The contents design of the software scenarios is based on the analysis of traffic accident data from 2020 to 2022 provided by the National Police Agency, with a total of 10 traffic safety learning activities (3 for pedestrians, 5 for cyclists, and 2 for motorcyclists). The modes include first-person perspective, third-person perspective, scenario quizzes, and danger perception, integrating multiple perspective switches and overhead replay functions during the experience process to facilitate students learning. To facilitate the collection of performance data of all students during the same learning period,
this project is based on a WebGL platform, combined with Google Forms functionality, to develop a one-to-many scenario experience feedback platform. After students complete self-learning experiences, teachers can review the statistical results of each student's scenario experience. The currently designed teaching aid software can serve as the basis for continuous development of learning activities and functions optimization in the second year. This software will serve as teaching resources for traffic safety education in
accordance with the 108 Curriculum Guidelines, providing support for implementing traffic safety courses in primary, junior,and senior high schools to promote the traffic safety education in schools.
