| Summary | The traffic impact assessment (TIA) for site developments is becoming important, and so it is essential to formulate a way of calculation of thresholds of TIA for site developments. The objectives in this study are : 1. to formulate a way of calculation of thresholds of TIA for site developments according to the indicator set by the study 2. to revise and examine the way of calculation of thresholds of TIA and to do a case study using Taipei city as an example. Based on our literature review, legislation criticism and the suggestion from the experts and scholars, the method of statistical analysis was used to formulate a calculation. The historical information for site developments was used as the database to do the statistical analysis and to calculate the thresholds of TIA. Developing calculating software is also an important work in this study. The software aims to guide users to calculate thresholds easily through the humanistic faces of the software. In the case study, not only Taipei city was used as the main object of analysis, but also Kaohsiung city, Keelung city and Chiayi city were added as objects of test. Details of analysis procedures and results have been described in Chapters Three and Four of this report. |
