| Summary | To convey the status and capacity of Taiwan’s transportation systems in 2008, this report aims to present and analyze the major construction projects, infrastructure status, general operations information, capacity, demand growth trend, and level of service of various transportation systems, including railways, highways, maritime transportation, civil aviation, and urban transportation, respectively. This study also investigates the relationship between fuel price, GDP and freeway traffic flow. The results show that those elements can’t find equilibrium over the long-term.
