| Summary | This handbook is an attachment of “The establishment of the "manual on uniform guide signs"(1/3)” project in 2007. Since the guide signs in Taiwan are not uniform and systematized for efficiently providing users with correct information, this project proposes a localized manual on uniform guide signs, based on verifying the existing problem of domestic guide signs and summarizing the worldwide related rules. This handbook includes 8 major articles: General Introduction, General Rules for Guide Sign Design, Guide Signs for Highway, Guide Signs for Freeway and Expressway, Guide Signs for Urban Streets, Guide Signs for Assistance, Types and Structure for Sign Poles, Supervising Existing Guide Signs. This project also applies the accomplishments to the demonstrative roadway. Based on the results of the demonstration, it is convincing that this handbook can function well in practice. |
