| Summary | On the ground of complex competitive and cooperative relationships within different transport systems, and in order to improve the efficiency of government’s investment as well as make better use of budget, it is necessary not only to construct a model to evaluate and assess the future transportation plans but also to confirm the direction of future development. In 2009, the IOT completed used the “Taiwan Transportation Decision Support System”, which supports the assessment and analysis of transportation plans, and accumulates data and experiential knowledge for the benefit of better reviewing of transportation planning and transportation planning, and continue to handle “Medium and Long Term Planning Review and Decision Support System And Integrated Database Maintenance”. The project completed this year includes: Update the current transportation planning database and improving the function of database. Upgrade the efficiency and information security of the present Taiwan Transportation Policy Decision Support System. Analyze items to be added to or removed from the database and updating the standardization procedures of the database. To meet the need for transport planning, policy decision making, and topical analysis, provide data compilation and analysis and administrative assistance. Observe the transportation market and make a trend analysis of its environment (2007-2014). The results have been transferred as reference information to the railway network of the Railway Reconstruction Bureau and the IOT’s Railways and Highways Climate Change Adaptation Data Platform. |
