| Summary | This project employed questionnaire survey and booking methods as the main and secondly research approaches. The investigation period is from October 1998 to April 1999. The collected data contains vehicle traveling cost and operation conditions in terms of motorcycle, passenger car, taxi, light truck, private truck, business truck, and tractor. The study covers Taipei, Taichung, Kaohsiung metropolitan areas, and Hualien County. The survey (investigation) design, conduction, and statistical analysis are proceeded to meet the goals as listed above. To break through the existing applied methods, we first study the result of the previous surveys and their practical status of applications. To verify the study results different sources of data have been applied. Suggestions for improving vehicle operation cost survey have been identified and proposed for future studies. |
