| Summary | This study referred to international traffic safety indicators to build such indicators of Taiwan. This study has developed a web-base 3-level data query system to provide various content, such as crash and exposure to generate one-way or two-way tables on demand, and a report of annual safety facts. According to the current administrative management, a detail data request system via the web was built up to log automatically. In addition to the aforementioned general statistics, this study also has developed a crash location analysis system, based on data process, analysis, and display stages. This system could generate GPS data from self-programmed data mapping software. Hence, the GPS data was used to merge crashes in a same location, and display analysis results. The recently published Google Earth was used as one of the display platforms. All these associated crash analysis systems could be used to assist researchers or engineers. |
