| Summary | Railway agencies provide statistical data that is of significant importance, however most of the data are separately managed, and are difficiult to obtain. On the other hand, frequent request of data from users to railway agencies is an ever-increasing workload. This project sets up a data platform to integrate operational data from all railway systems in the country. Aimed at providing data service for the government and railway agencies, the platform takes a highly elastic, demand-oriented strategy that is able to adopt to new, future demands based on new and achrived data. The platform collects raw data and, after heavy processing, provides nearly ready-to-use information. Users can download charts and tables of various resolution according to their access authority via Internet. The platform now hosts approximately 1.3 billion data records, mostly from Taiwan Railways Administration and from Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation. Statistical data from Taiwan High Speed Rail and Kaohsiung Rapid Transit Corporation are also present. |
